A Fresh Intrepretation of Classic Style
Friday, May 29, 2009 | Permalink

Inspiration for the new Barclay Square collection by Lexington is rooted in the tradition of British traditional style. The fresh interpretation is best represented by three of our facvorite items.

The first is the dramatic Kendall Leather Wing Chair. The silhouette is traditional, but that's just a starting point. The carved frame is finished in gloss black, and the inside and outside backs are upholstered in zebra-patterned hair-on-hide leather. The seat is tailored in rich black leather with nailhead trim. The look is spectacular.

Our second favorite is the application of rich red leather on the classically-styled Hyde Park Chair. It provides an unexpected pop of color in a traditional dining room setting. The soft curves of the chair backs elegantly compliment the graceful radius of the Abingdon Dining Table.

Our third favorite is the striking burnished cranberry interior and back panel on the Sutton Place Secretary. The introduction of color changes the entire personality of the piece. The cranberry accents are eye-catching, even when the drop-lid front is in the closed position.

Great design is in the detail. See the new Barclay Square Collection at your local Lexington Home Brands dealer.
